What version do I download?

FactionsUUID supports recent MC alongside a separate release for legacy 1.8.8.

Legacy Version Supported: 1.8.8
Modern Version Supported: 26.1.2 - 26.2

Minecraft 26.1.2 and 26.2:
Run the latest release!
This is the version that receives new features and bug fixes. Non-latest MC versions will generally receive support for at least a few weeks. Short for small patches and generally 2+ months when changing to a new big release. For example, 26.1.2 will receive support through at least August.

Minecraft 1.8.8 running Java 21:
Run version 0.6.43 (need to visit Version History page to get it)
This is the version that receives bug fixes.

Other versions (unsupported, but can find on the Version History page):
For MC 1.9 through 1.19, run version 0.6.40
For MC versions after that, check labels on the Version History page, as I started labeling the supported version on downloads.
While I will not provide support for other versions, the plugin tends to be pretty darn stable.

Features

This project brings the most popular factions functionality into the modern age, keeping classic behavior while adding neat enhancements. This includes:

Faction essentials. Create factions, invite members, claim territory (including at large scale or automatically), charge membership dues to grow the faction bank, make allies or enemies of other factions, and more.

Slop-free experience. I have been developing Minecraft plugins since 2010 and know what I’m doing.

Power and DTR options. Most plugins pick one mode. FactionsUUID lets you choose which model to use for handling your land claiming and raiding conditions.

Upgrade system. More than 20 built-in upgrades for factions to unlock. You can customize availability, cost, perks, levels, and even set some upgrades to be automatically granted at a set level on faction creation. Upgrades include TNT bank, flight, warps, armor durability boost, drop boost, faction shield, power/dtr modifiers, and more.

Fine-grained territory protections/permissions. Faction leaders can control who has access to various functionality within their territory, from using doors and buttons to claim management, down to the member role, faction relationship, or even specific players. Not enough? Zones enable granting permissions in specific claims, so you can have a leadership-only chest room or a collaborative building area for allies.

Modern commands and messaging. Commands properly auto-complete and are limited to who has access, auto-updating as a player’s access changes throughout gameplay. You can even rename the subcommands to fit your preferences or language! All plugin-sent messages are customizable MiniMessage strings in the config, with the default config using color labels (info, deny, focus, etc.) that can be changed to impact all message colors at once for a consistent theme without pesky find/replace.

Flexible chat. Out of the box, FactionsUUID lets you style chat however you like, including using relation-based colors to label the faction of the chatting player, and support for placeholders. The chat system is designed to handle the majority of needs without a 3rd-party plugin, but you can get the same effects using our PlaceholderAPI placeholders if your favorite chat plugin supports relational placeholders.

Dues and rent (taxation). Keep larger factions under control with equation-based rent system. Want exponentially-growing costs of larger claims? Go for it!

Extensive configurability. Well-documented configs letting you tweak plugin behavior to fit your desired gameplay.

Plugin integrations. Built-in integrations including LuckPerms (adding contexts), Vault (economy), Duels, Essentials, GravesX, PlaceholderAPI (for use in the plugin and for other plugins to use), WorldGuard, and YardWatch.

Developer-friendly API. Register custom subcommands, custom upgrades, custom permissible actions, and more.
