One of the things that has always bothered me about emojis on servers was the fact that they're almost never pixel consistent, so you have the normal-looking Minecraft font and then emojis that are 16x or above.
My emojis are 8x8 with a 1x1 padding around each one for emojis that may need extra details, positioned within the Minecraft font to line up properly with the default size.
